Sportswomen Miesha Tate

Miesha Theresa Tate, born 18 August 1986 is an American mixed martial artist. She is a competitor in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and is a former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. Tate formerly competed for Strikeforce, in which she is a past Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion. Tate was vice-president of ONE Championship. As of October 3 2022 she was 10th in the UFC women's bantamweight rankings.



 



 Childhood and early life



 Tate was born in the Seattle suburb of Tacoma, Washington, to Michelle Tate, and was raised by Michelle and husband Robert Schmidt. Tate was a typical tomboy during her childhood and frequently was on the playground with boys.
